3. Who are the attendees of the Canton Fair? Business people from all over the world from various types of business/manufacturing industries attend the Canton Fair. They are suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, traders buying and selling any kind of products that you can imagine. They come from all parts of the globe to see new China-made products exhibited by their Chinese counterparts.
Canton Fair invites overseas buyers by Invitation. With the Invitation, overseas buyers could apply for Visa to China and get registered and free entry badge to the fair. Without invitation, please carry personal valid ID card, business card and one piece of personal latest ID photo for entry badge to the fair.
4. Who are the exhibitors of the Canton Fair? Exhibitors come from all over Mainland China. They bring along their best products intended for export. Some of them bring the best specialities of their region to the negotiating table. So you can expect to see the best Chinese products in this Fair.
5. Could a foreign-owned company rent a booth in the Fair to display its exhibits? Now, the booths in the Fair are no longer strictly reserved for Chinese companies, and can also be leased by foreign companies. 8. Does the Canton Fair provide brochures, which include all information about the Canton Fair? 1. What is the purpose of the Invitation Letter? According to the Chinese government's regulations, a formal Invitation Letter is required to apply for an entry visa. If you already have a visa to visit China, please do not apply for the Invitation Letter. ASM can help you with the Invitation Letter. Once we have sent it to you, there will be no provisions for refund or cancellation of any kind. In addition, the Invitation Letter we offer is ONLY for your visa application and NOT for your registration in the Canton Fair. You need to register yourself at the Canton Fair to enter inside. The Invitation Letter is not a guarantee for visa. Refund request will not be entertained after the Invitation Letter is sent because the fee mainly covers our cost, the UPS freight or fax.
2. Who is qualified to apply for the Invitation Letter? People who are qualified to apply for the Invitation Letter are: - Visitors with an overseas passport (H.K., Macau I.D., Taiwan Compatriot Travel Certificate), or an Overseas Residence Permit valid for over one year. - Chinese representatives with foreign companies representative offices.
3. How to apply for the Invitation Letter? If buyers do not have a CECF Invitation Letter, they can choose one of the two channels to apply for an Invitation Letter. One is that buyers can log on our website and apply for an Invitation Letter on our website, the other is that buyers can send an e-mail to us, please contact: ASM Overseas Corp. Each original Invitation Letter is charged US$100(We charge US$100 for Western Countries. The price is different for the other countries. Please contact us for more information) and an extra of US$25 for delivery charge (EMS, UPS etc.). The total price of the package is US$125.The package is composed of an original Invitation Letter and a map and we will send it to you by EMS or UPS within one working day.
In order to guarantee the promptness and the accuracy of the delivery, we will inform you the Express mail tracking number for your reference. Your request for the Invitation Letter will be processed only after we receive your payment. Therefore please allow us ample time to receive and process your payment. If you request to cancel the reservation after the payment is processed but before the package is sent, we will issue a partial refund of US$50. After the package is sent, no refund will be issued.5. 6. When is the deadline for the application of the Invitation Letter? Deadlines for application are on March 30 (Spring Fair) and on September 30 (Autumn Fair).
7. Could an application be transmitted by email, fax beside by post? Yes. An overseas business person could submit his or her application through fax, mail, as well as e-mail as long as it contains the essential information required.
8. Could a valid Invitation Letter be sent by e-mail, fax beside by post? Normally an Invitation Card is sent by post. In case of emergency, we can send it through fax or by email and the fax copy or the email copy is acceptable.
9. Can many business people share one Invitation Letter? According to our policy, one Invitation Letter is only sufficient for one person to apply for a visa.
10. If there are more than 1 person, who want to attend the Fair, can they apply for an extra Invitation Letter? Yes. Please specify us in your fax, mail or e-mail the number of people attending the Fair.
11. Does the Invitation Letter guarantee the entry to the Fair? You need the Invitation Letter to apply for a business visa to enter in China. Then you still need to apply for a Visitor's Card once you get to the Fair. You can obtain this from Gate 1 of the Fair entrance.

1. What is the type of Visa I would need for the Canton fair? The Chinese government imposed a rule that anyone entering China with the purpose of doing business must hold a Business Visa. Since you are coming here to attend the Fair, it would be best to have a Business Visa upon entering China.
2. What can happen if I am holding a different type of Visa (Tourist, Student, etc.)? As mentioned earlier, it would be better to have a Business Visa. But if you are already in China under a different type of Visa other than a Business one, you can still use this to enter the Fair. There is no big deal.
3. How can an overseas business person apply for a multi-entry visa for his or her convenience? Please consult this with the P.R.China's embassy or consulate in your home country.
4. How and where could an oversea business person apply for the Business Visa? An Invitation Letter is required to apply for a business visa to Guangzhou. For this purpose, kindly approach the Embassy of P. R. China or consulate in your home country with the Invitation Letter. The following two points should be noticed: a) In the absence of a Chinese Embassy in your country, kindly approach the Embassy (Consulate) of P. R. China in a neighboring country. b) Approach the Visa Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of P. R. China in Hong Kong, if you travel to Guangzhou via that city.

1. What is a Visitor's Card? To enter the Fair Complex, buyers should register for Buyer Cards first. Buyer Cards are the only valid admission to the Fair and are available at both complexes. Please keep it well. Exhibitors will not bargain with visitors without the Buyer Cards. In addition, if buyers do not have a CECF Invitation letter, they will have to pay some money for the Visitor Card before they enter the Fair. If they have, the Visitor Card will be free.
2. How could an overseas business person get a Visitor's Card? To obtain the Visitor's card, you have to personally register at the Gate 1 of the Fair venue. You will need the following to apply: a) Personal Papers (Passport, H.K./ Macao I.D. Card or Residence Permit, Taiwan Compatriot Travel Certificate, or a Chinese Passport with at least one year foreign visa) b) Business Card c) A recent personal photo (5cmx4cm)
3. How much does it cost to register for a Visitor's Card? If buyers do not have a CECF Invitation letter, they will have to pay RMB100 for an Visitor Card before they enter the Fair. If they have, the Visitor Card will be free.
4. What is the time of the registration? The registration time is 9:00 am to 6:00 pm for both Spring session (April 15-30) and Autumn sessions (October 15-30) at the gate 1 of the Fair Complex in Guangzhou.

3. What is the charge for the language services? For English language, the service charge ranges from RMB 400 to 550 per day per interpreter, and for other languages, from RMB 500 to 650 per day per interpreter.
4. What does happen if an overseas business person brings her own interpreter? The interpreter has to get an interpreter card, which is charged RMB 200.00 per day.

5. How should local interpreters register and what are the required documents? Local interpreters should register at the Registration Office at Gate 1 of the Fair venue. The required document to register are:
For the interpreters employed by the visitors or exhibitors a. Degree certificate of certain foreign language b. ID Card of the interpreter c. The company of the employer and his/her signature d. A photo with the size of 5cmx4cm e. Service charge for the pass: RMB 300/day/interpreter

BACK TO TOP About complaints and other issues regarding the Fair:Where and how can we lodge a complaint during or after the Fair? During the Fair session, complaints about the Fair can be lodged in the Complaint Office at the Fair Complex. After the Fair, fair complaints should be done in the provincial or municipal Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Co-operation Commission of the region where the complaining company is located.

1. What is the weather like during the Fair season? The average temperature is 21.8 'C during the Spring Fair, and 23.8 'C during the Autumn Fair. It is warm but quite humid in April and dry, sunny and moderate in October.
2. What are the means of transportation around Guangzhou and the means of transportation getting to the Fair? It is very convenient to get to the Fair with a public traffic network consisting of buses, taxis and subway. Many hotels provide Shuttle Buses to and from the fair Complex for business people every day at fixed times during the Fair. When making a reservation, a pre-request on the Shuttle buses during the Fair will save you a lot on travel in Guangzhou.
3. How do we get to Guangzhou via Hong Kong? You can get to Guangzhou by planes, non-stop express trains, buses and shuttle ferries from Hong Kong. If you are a group, we can provide a bus at a special price from Hongkong and send you directly to the destination in Guangzhou. Please get in touch with us if you have such request.
